Our ongoing collaboration with Zeek's Pizza

DIPA base of 2-Row, flaked and malted oats, flaked and malted white wheat. This beer was hopped in the whirlpool with Azacca from our friends at Roy Farms. It was then allowed to ferment for ~16 hours, then dry hopped with ~4 lbs per barrel of Amarillo, Enigma, and Talus (formerly HBC 692). The rest of fermentation was performed under pressure using a spunding valve. The resulting beer is bursting with tropical fruit, coconut, and citrus flavors and aromas.

On tap at Zeeks Pizza - Bellingham, pours an opaque bright yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very pithy, with intense underripe fruits, citrus pith, tropical fruit juice, and citrusy hops. Flavour is very juicy, with intense guava, tropical fruits in general, some dank hops, and citrus pith. Damn, this manages to avoid all the problems of most hazies: it's not chalky, no hopburn or roughness. Just very juicy, well-hopped, fruity and integrated. Very good.

Dullish pale, medium hop; a touch of rosemary, herbs bring bitterness but it is okay.

Opaque, paleish sort of yellow. Guava and grapefruit on the nose. Solid, and with a nice dank hop character.

With the recent addition of Zeek's Pizza here in Kenmore, I received my first delivery tonight, and I, of course, included the house IPA. I've had this brew before, and I'm actually a little surprised I never rated it. I always had a mental note of how much I enjoy this hazy. Delivery options included the growler, crowler, single pint can, or the 4 pack. 4 pack of course! This beer is everything I look for in a hazy, and it doesn't hurt that it pairs wonderfully with pizza. Glowing thick pale orange haze. Creamy foam head and lacing. Tropical fruit hop, and cream nose. Moderate bitter front, juicy hops, gentle, smooth finish. Extremely refreshing, and thanks to the spicy level of pizza I order, these 4 cans might not survive the evening. One of the better hazy IPA offerings in the area in recent memory, and it looks like I'll be able to enjoy it for quite a while to come. Love this brew.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy light yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dank citrus, light marijuana with a bit of mango underlying. Flavor has dank citrus and rind with touch of mango and sweet onion supporting.

I always wonder about the influence of 🍺 labels, I drank this today instead of with πŸ• yesterday but I had some πŸ… πŸ₯£ today at least and it feels like a solid IPA to pair with pizza. Sweet upfront but with a hoppy finish to contrast against πŸ… sauce.
