Sampled at the brewery, pours a clear dark gold with a ring of white head. Brett is very noticeable in the nose, earthy, grassy and a touch horsey. Flavor starts tannic with tea, and straw, some lemon, a little honey on the back end with really rounded it out. The gentle sweetness helps the tannic edges. Call me crazy, but this read Victory to me, so much so.

At the source, tap: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is basement funk, brett, and maybe some cheese. This is funkier and less earthy than the Victory counterpart, which I had earlier in the day. Pretty bitter and bretty. Nice.

Draft at the source. Clear deep golden color, bright white edge head. Huge earthy dirt and dusty aroma. Taste is peppery, dusty, funky. Delicious.

4 oz pour on draft at Bluejacket. Funky, peppery Brett. Funky. Lot to take in. Light earthy character, pepper, with some yeast on the end. Interesting beer.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey during the Victory 20th anniversary event. Slightly hazy golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of earthy notes, funk and Brett, light citrus. Tastes of big Brett, black peppery spice, light funk, yeast. Medium body with a dry finish. Interesting Brett’d pale lager.
