Tap at Maumee. Sweet, creamy, not a lot going on. Pastry like- too sweet, no balance. Drinkable but not impressive.

Bottle. A- Brownie batter, fudge, mild booze. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Coffee, minerals, cocoa, slightly bitter, roast, mild cola. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Beautiful aroma of brownie batter that rich chocolate that can be smelled from across a room, literally. Flavor didn't quite meet that but it was tasty all in all.

Bottle: Black, with a thick, dark tan head. Licorice/coffee aroma. Taste is dark chocolate malt, roast, creamy coffee.....and some dark fruit that adds a slightly awkward note to it. Ok......good body.....just didn't quite hit the right marks for me.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured black and oily with a medium sized foamy exceptionally dark brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was chocolate, bourbon, red wine, vanilla, black licorice and floral hops. The flavor was bitter and roasty with chocolate, coffee, vanilla, bourbon, black licorice and red wine. Long finish. Full bodied and creamy. Outstanding!
