Old Carlsberg Porter has an almost oily-fat filling and appears black with tight mocha colored foam. The taste is sweet with a hint of dry bitterness. The aroma is powerful with notes of licorice root, newly roasted coffee, bitter chocolate and warming alcohol.

Can from a rest area shop in Denmark. Aroma is roasted malt, liquorice, dark chocolate, touch of coffee. Flavour is medium sweet with some roasty bitterness in the bittersweet finish. Body is medium to full. Surprisingly well-realised Baltic Porter from a macro corporation. Credit where credit is due, I guess.

Drucken på Floss i Köpenhamn. Snäll drickvänlig och helt ok. Mörka bär och choklad dominerar. Snäll beska, lite belgostouttouch. Gott

0.5 l can from 'Meny' (Søndervig), best before March 2025 (I guess). Finally another #mj500 find again. Black with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty and slightly fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, caramel and some raisins. Quite sweet, malty, rather roasty and slightly fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, toasted hazelnut, burnt bread crust, some caramel, light raisins and hints of licorice, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter, gently earthy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Moreish beer, way better than expected, well-balanced and very clean. Good!

0.5L can gift from kapusil - many thanks, my friend! deep dark brown colour, medium sized creamy brown head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of chocolate, prune, some raisins and burnt sugar; taste of cherry bonbon made with dark chocolate, burnt plum jam cake and some coffee notes; excellent beer

0.5l can. Black body with a lasting mocha head. Lots of caramel in the aroma with notes of chocolate, cocoa, plums, raisins and nutmeg. Taste of cocoa, caramel, cherries and plums. I find it super funny that this beer is a Baltic porter brewed with lager yeast but it also has the Imperial Stout style definition on the can. Very nice beer though.

Bottle. Pours a pitched black with a thin, light brown head. Aromas of malt but mostly a sort of pilsner-like smell of hops. Roasted malt and some dark fruits. Very Carlsberg-like. Has a pretty good taste though. Surprised. Not that bad at all.

I was quite disappointed with this one. Bottle from MiP. Very dark brown color. Roasted malt, dried fruit, tobacco and maggi both in aroma and flavor. Malty sweetish, but also quite salty. What a strange brew. Would be quite nice as a flavor enhancer in soup.

Can (from random grocery store). Pours dark brown. Aroma and flavor are roast, grains, cardboard, malt, booze. Overall: not a fan.
