7/11/2025. Cask at the 13th Beccles Beer Festival. Nice pour, lovely clear bright golden bronze colour. Aroma is fruity, orange, malt, rye cracker, caramel, hint of spice. Medium sweet, moderate bitterness and body. Oily, slightly watery. Soft carbonation. Sweet fruity caramel finish. Nicely done.

Cask at Borough Arms, Crewe. Pours golden amber with a medium sized foamy cream head and excellent lacing. There’s malt, hops and rye in the aroma plus a hint of ginger. In the mouth it is quite bitter but with some underlying sweetness and a creamy texture. Flavour has traditional hops, grains, rye and autumn fruits with hints of coffee, caramel and ginger coming through later. Bitterness lasts into the slightly fruity finish. This is quite nice – plenty of taste for it’s strength.
