Crisp weiss beer with natural grapefruit flavor

A traditional shandy is beer mixed with a little something extra, like lemonade, soda or ginger ale. Leinenkugel's® Grapefruit Shandy is our take on this tradition. Each batch begins with our traditional weiss beer. We then combine it with natural white grapefruit flavor that adds a note of fresh-cut citrus, because here refreshment is our greatest natural resource.

Late night raid of friends fridge looks like I’ll be sneaking so radler rate out of this visit. Hazed gold pour. Nose of grapefruit light candy. Tastes of grapefruit but in no way cloying, lemon, wheat, sour patch kids, and 7up. Not terrible not exciting.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours hazy, dirty gold with a white head. Aroma is pretty much grapefruit. Near med body. Flavor is like somewhat diluted fresh grapefruit juice. Not a bad drink, but hardly exciting, complex, cutting edge.

12 ounce bottle, 4/8/15. Hazy straw color, medium sized foamy white head. Fair retention. Aroma of grapefruit juice, pith, hints of wheat. The taste is wheat, dry grapefruit. Thin bodied, high carbonation.

Pours cloudy yellow with a large, but fleeting white meringue head. Looks like a Berliner Wiesse. Sweet grapefruit candy aroma. Tastes like watered down grapefruit soda.

Pours a light hazy yellow from a can. No doubt about it, this is a grapefruit shandy. If you’re looking for something else, get something else. I thought it was mighty tasty and refreshing on a hot humid day.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 5/15/15

Aroma: The nose is strongly grapefruit juice, in fact, that's pretty much all I get here
Appearance: It pours a murky/cloudy yellow color with a thin white head and some light, spotty lace
Flavor: Tastes sweet/light tart, pretty much just grapefruit juice and some notes of lemon zest
Palate: It is quite easy drinking, with average to lively carbonation, and a rather refreshing overall feel
Overall Impression: For what this is it actually works pretty well. It is not all that beer-like, but if you want an ice cold (best temperature for drinking this one) grapefruit juice-like radler-like drink, it does that pretty damn well. I can't believe I'm rating this as high as I am...

Stamped in green on the neck reads \"Aug17 15.\"
This was poured into a flute.
The appearance was a hazy pale grapefruit color with a one finger white foamy head that clung for about a good minute before it settled to leave a messy lacing running about.
The smell packed some sweet grapefruit and a tart grapefruit mellowing into a light citrusy rind.
The taste copied the smell to become sweet and have a slight tart to bitter taste. A sweet grapefruit aftertaste leads into a dry bitter finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. The bitter grapefruit may cut back a bit, but definitely could pound a fair amount of these back on a hot Summer’s day.
Overall, Shandy/Radler, whatever you wanna call it. I’d drink it again.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky yellow color with a large fluffy white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was tart, tangy and sweet with pink grapefruit, sugar and a hint of yeast. Medium length finish. Medium body. Solid.
