On cask at the brewery with cocoa added Pours a cloudy cola brown with a thick brown head. Aromas of cocoa and leather. Flavors are mild bitter roast with plenty of malt sweetness. Some hop bitterness in the finish.

Draft at Black Squirrel. Very dark brown color, beige head. Aroma of coffee grounds, licorice. Taste has espresso, smooth chocolate. Nice.

32oz growler from the brewery pours a watery, deep brown with some creamy, sudsy off white head. Nose is what you expect, its got some bread, some malt, some creamy oats, light soap. Flavor follows, bread, toast, brown sugar, light nougat, mild molasses. Creamy and dry on the finish. Easy drinker.

4 oz pour on draft at Denizens. Dark brownish black with light tan ehad. Aromas of chocolate, roast, bitter licorice. Tastes of dark chocolate, roasty notes, light licorice. Medium-light body with a dry finish.
