Bottle. Pours a golden orange color with a large creamy white head. Aroma is citrus and pine, a little floral and some bready malts. Tastes floral and earthy, some faint citrus and pine. Lightly sweet and minimal bitters.

I bought this as a single and tried it at home. Putting it into a tall beer mug it is a pale yellow-gold with a superb head that laces nicely. Its scent is pine needles. My first taste delivers a solid jolt of hops and then pine and grass. I detect a bit of grapefruit too. The bitterness holds long after a sip. Very decent, just not high on my IPA favorites list.

Bottle as pictured. Slight perfumy hop nose. Large blast of IPA hops in the palate. Terribly on style with its tongue mauling bitter kick in the ass. Pretty strong with lots of bitter IPA personality, borders on imperial IPA with regrets. Palate? What palate? Mine’s wrecked.

Clear orange light amber. Full frothy white head. Light toasted malts. Modest bitterness. But nice fresh clean flavors. Not particularly aggressive but pleasant and flavorful.

12oz bottle pours with a clear deep gold body that has thin copper hues and supports a thin light tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up spicy sort of Cascade like hops as well as some grassy notes and a bit of an herbal hit. The taste delivers some bitter hoppiness in the form of spicy grassy hops that have a thin resiny hop edge to them. It gets a little bitter with floral hop notes from time to time along with a light sense of malt sweetness. Pretty nice and it’s growing on me.

Ever so slightly hazy golden and bronze coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of grass, light earth, malt, caramel and a bit of toffee - rather pungent and not hop-centric. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong rich malty flavours with some unfinished yeast, bread and caramel notes all wrapped around a bit of grassy and perfumey hops. Aftertaste shows almost more of the yeast and malt than the hops, but some light caramelised sugar notes as well around. Overall, a decent APA with some subdued grass and earthiness showing more of a malt presence than hops, and definitely more of an APA instead of an IPA. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 24-July-2015 for US$1,79 sampled at home in Washington on 03-September-2016.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Ann Arbor Eisenhower 3/20/16. Sightly hazy amber, medium sized frothy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of toasted malt, floral and tropical hops. The taste is lime, tropical fruit, umami, toasted malts. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness, decent balance.

Bottle. It pours a golden orange color with a small off white head. Thea aroma is pretty bland with lots of caramel sweetness and lighter background notes of grapefruit and flowers. The flavor is a bit more hop forward with flowers and grapefruit, but the sweetish malt profile really kind of muddles things. The bitterness is lightly piney and dank, but it pretty low to medium so that was good. A pretty ho-hum IPA.
