On tap at King St, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Aroma brings out medium roast, some lactose-like sweetness, and light oats. Flavour is malty but rather messy, with light roasted malt, gentle sugars and bready notes. Doesn't seem integrated and doesn't have any flavour depth or complexity whatsoever. Needs a lot of work.

Sample during the Alaska Beer: Glacial Awareness event on 06/20/2020. Brown-black pour with a medium thick foamy tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patches of lace. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and anise. Full-bodied with flavors of charred malt, dark chocolate, black licorice and a bit of fruit. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

750 mL bottle poured at Matt's. Thanks! Cool bottle. Dark pour, near black. Has an oat like sweetness. Milk chocolate. Not too thick. Toasty aroma. On the sweet side for sure. A less than imperial feel to this. Flavorful. Chocolate. Oak. Vanilla. Oats. Interesting beer here.

Bottle thanks to Tom. Pours black with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong wood, roasted malt, cocoa, vanilla. Thick, chewy, roast, chocolate, wood, light dry finish, spot on imperial stout.
