This DIPA is inspired by those creamy, thick milkshake style IPAs. We increased the amount of flaked barley and oat malt compared to our usual DIPAs to make the beer chewier and unctuous.
The addition of vanilla adds a creamy aroma and the bitter orange zest, paired with similarly zesty, creamy hops provides a mouth filling, yet refreshing taste.
Note - take the subscribers blurb with a pinch of salt! Was on sale to anyone who wanted it at 73 Enid Street!

Panda thanks to Cloin. A light haze on this gold beer, small and short lived bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied pale malts, some sweetness, kinda moot with the added vanilla. A decent orange and mandarin vibe goes well with the vanilla. Some cooling pine on the light finish. Ice Cream DIPA? Why not? Just hope these are occasional offerings and not a new brewer fad.

Panda from Colin. Cheers. Opaque-hazy gold. No head but that's my pour from a panda. Aroma is bitter. Stone fruit gooseberry. Woody edge. Flavourwise it has tangy a bitterness (gooseberry, resi ) over sweeter fruit which is slightly syrupy. Medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice referring stuff.

Can at home, picked up from 73 Enid Street, 06/11/2025.
Murky orange topped with a creamy white cap that thins in time.
Nose is orange creme, sugars, vanilla, soft malts.
Taste comprises vanilla pods, orange peel, mandarin, creamy malts, papaya, lactic pinch.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow juice laden hop bitterness.
It's okay but the milk shake elements reduce the drinkability for me making it overly sweet and a little flabby.
