Bottle courtesy of SHIG, thanks! Clear deep amber color, white edge head. Aroma of toasted caramel biscuit. Taste is lightly sweet caramel, black pepper. Decent.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber with cream head. Malty and grain. Nice malty and grain bone.

Thanx Warren for bringing a growler of this down to share.
We both poured this into mugs.
The appearance was a nice looking ruddy orange to brown color with a thin white head that dissipated practically immediately. Some lacing grazing along the sides of the glass.
The smell had a majestic amount of roasted caramel malts with a nice amount of nuttiness rolling all around my nose.
The taste was mostly sweet through the previously stated flavors. An ample amount of nutty to a slight vanilla came in as the beer warmed.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium. There isn’t any aftertaste but it does have a dry roasty nutty finish.
Overall, not a bad Octoberfest, but I’m not sure where that vanilla came in - not bad to me, I’m just wondering if anyone else detected it.
