The appearance is a pure clear yellow colored body with a slim one finger white foamy head with some slim lacing trying to cling to the sides but slides down at a fairly moderate pace; the smell has some slight peppery tones that display a degree of Belgian yeastiness coming through in a funky sort of way; the taste has some peppery and yeasty funkiness with a peppery aftertaste; dry yet somewhat of a watery finish; its very easy on the palate and has an extremely nice refreshing quality to it; overall this is a decent witbier most likely worthy of revisiting in the summer months

Clear golden coloured body with no haze at all, with a three centimetre tall, slightly soapy whit ehead and a lot of bubbles rising from the bottom, but relatively slow moving. Aroma of coriander seed, curacao, bubble gum, curry, earthiness and some more light spices - complex aroma. Light-bodied; Sharp wheat flavour at first with a hit of spices, some coriander seed freshness, but a curry-like flavour with hits of a slightly spicey note and a little fruit sweetness, but not much of the curacao picked up at all, nor any whole fruit. Aftertaste shows a mild spiciness and a hint of light wheat, but not terribly mild nor refreshing. Overall, a fairly substandard beer for Midnight Sun, but it wasn’t bad - and would probably be decent for most brewers. Nice to try, and easy to bring back home with me, as it was a can, but I won’t be bringing any more of this with me the next time up to the last frontier! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 23-May-2013 for US$1.70 sampled at home in Washington on the opposite end of the country on 05-September-2013.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours slightly hazy gold with a white head. Aroma seems a bit heavy - tripel came to mind. Med minus body. Flavor is stronger than some wits, but not so strong as the aroma suggested. Reasonably tasty. Seems to have an earthy aspect in the finish.

Can thanks to SHIG, pours light hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is soapy pale grains and light lemon zest. Flavor is pale grains, slightly astringent with metallic bites ending with citrus.
