The next green hop release as part of our Harvest festival is another collaboration with Hukin Hops, a fifth-generation family hop farm based in the Weald of Kent. Hukins shipped fresh Challenger hops to us overnight, ensuring they were in peak condition for the brew the following morning.

We used them in the boil and whirlpool for this lager and get plenty of florality and cedar notes, subtle green tea and a touch of earthiness from them. The beer finishes dry, crisp and with a smooth, balanced bitterness that drives refreshment down to the last drop.

440ml can. Clear golden light amber with a white head. Aroma biscuit malts, light dried fruits. Taste of biscuity/nutty malts, little earthy, some dried fruits, peppery hop spice, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Excellent lager.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 08/11/2025.
Golden amber topped with a lasting just off white head.
Nose is dusty hops, grass, herb, hedgerow, straw, toasted grains, dull fruit esters.
Taste comprises biscuit, earthy green hop, straw, herb, grains, straw, stewed fruits, pale malts, stale bread, sultanas.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Solid kit.
