20/II/26 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: X///2030, P800 (2026-256)

Clear dark brown to black beer, practically no head, just a small rim of beige to brown tiny bubbles clinging to the side of the glass. Aroma: nice, gentle roast, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, some caramel, malty, no vanilla though? MF: soft to no carbon, full body, thick syrupy texture, thick and cloying. Taste: oh my, that’s no vanilla, but that’s a lot of dark sweet caramel combined with luscious chocolate notes, very sweet and sugary, gentle roast, some alcohol, but all in all still very balanced! Aftertaste: sugary and sweet, lots of dark caramel, alcohol burn (or maybe it’s the sugar?), chocolate notes, gentle roast, sweet ending, nice!

Quite good russet-cream head over black beer. Vanilla, dark roast, and cloyingly sweet smelling. Nothing else. Sickly sweet; vanilla and chocolate concoction; idea of maraschino cherries with vanilla. Indeed cloying. Very thick, full body, chewy and lots of alcoholburn. Punch-in-the-face. The nose is not what it ought to be.
