We took a year off of making this super-blend of as many different plums and pluots as we can get, and we returned to it last summer/fall. 2024 was a very challenging harvest, a cold spring and then a super-heated summer were not ideal for harvest timing and we ended up taking several thousands of pounds of pluots all in one week, which was very intense and a little exhausting.

Because we also made CFO2 we pulled a bunch of the pale pluots from this blend, which ended up getting 8 varietals of plums and pluots all harvested and processed in September. We let them slowly referment over the winter and when we went to sensory them just before spring we were happily surprised that the insanity of harvested had yielded another really nice set of components we could blend this from.

The resulting beer has a deeper red color and maintains the macerated-strawberry and fruit punch type character we often get with Collins Family. This beer remains one of if the not the most quintessential Floodland beer in my mind, I think it reflects what we do and what we want the beers to be.

Pale purple, with a lot of plums on the nose. On the palate, bright plum/pluot fruit, moderate acidity, light bugs. There's a light sweetness. Big bright juicy fruits. Win for big stone fruit.

750mL bottle, pours an opaque dark pinkish red with a small white head. Aroma is deep, with intensely juicy plums and pluots, light acidity, and mixed bugs. Flavour is extremely juicy and fruity, with intense plums and pluots, huge juiciness, medium acidity, and mixed bugs. Juicy, lightly tart finish. Maybe doesn’t have the bugginess complexity of other Floodlands, but the fruit depth and juiciness is through the roof. Very tasty.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Orangey red with small pink-ish white head. Nice pluot forward with plum backing, a touch thin-medium bodied compared to 2021 and 2022.

750mL bottle. Pours murky dull red with a small white head. Tons of plums and pluots on the nose. Flavour has a dry, spicy saison yeast, tons of juicy plums and pluots, and bitter, slightly acidic pits. A very juicy saison, maybe lacking some of the more rustic aspects of a saison, but it comes together very well.
