Local Dork: CVH 2025 is here this Friday at noon. Our fresh hop IPA brewed and canned annually for the last several years is a testament to the quality of the hops grown right here in Vermont by our friends at Champlain Valley Hops. This year’s edition was hot-steeped on 800 pounds of freshly harvested hops from CVH, just down the road from our brewery in Hinesburg.

Dry hopped with CVH Nugget and Chinook, it leads with dank aromatics of sweet lime, pine, and mandarin, finishing with a lemony, resinous bitterness.

Illegibly-dated can, drunk 11/13/25, as pictured.
Lots of pineapple and light black pepper with fruity, estery yeast and soft, biscuit and white bread from the malt. Clean with no twang. Nice to see someone do a wet hop NEIPA. Apparently no one got the memo that you can do that.
Nice and spicy. Not too spicy, mind you, as it's still NE hops. Soft, juicy, fruity, malty with good attenuation and lots of yellow fruit, mild pepper, mild pineapple and honey. Not all that complex, but soft, juicy, drinkable. Maybe a touch on the sweet side.
