Coming in at 8.3% abv, we brewed “Reaper” (DIPA) with Citra, Amarillo, Cascade, and Columbus hops, and then double dry hopped with the same. We get a ton of tangerine on the nose, with notes of peach and passionfruit. The taste follows with orange candy & citrus finishing with dank grapefruit peel.

Aromas are resin, melon, citrus, and pale malt. Flavors are similar to nose, on the sweet side up front going more dry with some bitter and then a light sweet finish. Goodbody and carbonation. Nice beer.

Can from Tavour. Pours hazy darkly orange with a decent creamy white head. Aroma of tangerine and other things. Med plus body. Flavor is very orange, with some tangerine, pale stone fruit and lightly roasty malt. Like SNPA with different hops. Dry. Moderately bitter.

16 ounce can thanks to Steve (6/11/16) . Nice golden body on pour, small white head. Aroma recalls some fresh melon, fruity sweetness, a bit of the dank hops. Taste follows the pattern, fruit notes first, then the hops. Pretty accessible for an IIPA.

Pint can at the bottle share. Golden color with a thin white head. Aromatic with citrus and tropical fruits, pine, a bit dank. Good hop flavor throughout, citrus and tropical fruit. Grapefruit. Nice balance of hefty bitters with the fruity sweetness.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a glossy burnt orange color with a slim finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Filmy lacing ran about the sides nicely.
The smell started off with some papaya, mango and peach, nice and sweet and then running into some piney resinous bitterness, bright and full of life.
The taste moderates absolutely nicely between the resin bitterness and the tropical flavors plus peach. Aftertaste is well combined - fully alive on the tropical flavors with bitterness.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable to sipping feel about it. Carbonation seems good, not too prickly, great bitterness bumping along, no cloying-ness.
Overall, as a DIPA, absolutely fantastic, damn, and I live in Vermont, drinking this makes me want to move to Maryland. Didn’t know something from Maryland could be so damn good, wow, just wow and a half!
