Brewed from the second runnings of a stronger wort. Deep chestnut in color with a creamy tan head, it opens with notes of toasted bread, cocoa husk, and walnut, rounded by a gentle toffee sweetness. A subtle mineral edge and light earthy hopping keep the finish crisp and dry, inviting another sip. Served naturally conditioned on cask in our Tasting Room and 16oz cans to go.

Seems to be a good idea but has a couple off flavors reminiscent of a dirty tapline, a little yeasty tartness offset by a soapy vegetal note and an outsized bitterness. Bad can, maybe?

Tavour can: pours amber with beige head. Aroma is earthy and toffee. Very pleasant and sessionable. Lightly sweet. Enjoyed thoroughly.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, fine bubbles form little islands. Gentle roasty aroma, well done toast, malty. Taste brings some sweetness, dark malts, soft bitterness. Dries out at the back. We need more of this style in the US.
