🔶 Le style ? Une Double Rye Saison : brassée avec de l’orge et du seigle, titrant à 7,2% et sublimée par un dry hopping de houblon expérimental belge.
Le résultat : une bière à la fois rafraîchissante, créative et équilibrée

On tap at Hops, Crewe. Pours a cloudy golden peach with minimal almost white head. There’s berry fruits and apple peel in the aroma. In the mouth there is sweetness overlaying a sharp base. Flavour has apples, gooseberries, oranges, peppers and hints of yeast and spices. Later on there are traces of grapes, alcohol and almonds as well. Finish is quite fruity. This is decent and it hides its strength well – but saisons never seem very distinctive to me taste.

Can picked up from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow. It pours hazy pale orange with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is quite spicy upfront, biscuit, barnyard funk, granny smith apple, gooseberry, white currant, lemon rind, dusty basement, hay and baked goods. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, minerality, some bitterness, musty, dry wood, earthy, peppery spice, nip of booze, barnyard funk, metallic twang, gooseberry, pear skin and leather with a drying, spicy finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Interesting and quaffable.

On tap at Delirium Taphouse, Brussels, Belgium. A murky dark golden/orange/yellow coloured pour with a huge white head on top. Crisp, yeasty, fruity, rye, citrus, earthy, spice. A really decent drop, a quality saison.

Earthy, yeast & tart aroma.
Medium bodied, foamy with a dry cloying back.

Draught @ Capsule, Lille with a pastry from local hipster boulangerie The French Bastards. Pours a fairly pale gold with a very fine mist, suggesting a light sessionable character. Crisp, bright but generally quite light saison with an alluring Dupont sweetness. Good pintworthy saison.
