650 ml bottle. Pours a orange/copper with full head. Aromas of tart fruit, sharp fresh hops and caramel. Very pleasant tart flavors of tropical fruit and citrus with a light malty base. Right on.

Liquid grapefruit juice with the acidity. Very interesting take on a sour as it lack hops like an IPA but has the fruitnss. Interesting.

22 oz bottle pour. Pours a cloudy golden color with a ton of head and lace. Nice hoppy aroma. Hoppy first, then a little sour fruit. Flavor is a ton of sour fruit, complemented by a creamy, thicker than most sours body. Tart grapefruit finish. Delicious beer. Awesome.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Murky orange-blond color with small creamy head. The aroma is a bit citrusy but mild. The mouthfeel is smooth, the combination of hops and acidity creates a very interesting grapefruit effect, fresh, zesty, aggressive. And it’s easy to drink.
Very nice and original.

On tap at The Beer Junction, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma screams out dry hops, on top of tart funky notes, and citrus zest. Flavour is well-balanced, with lots of dry hops, oranges and tart citrus zest. Really well-designed, with a dry tart finish. Excellent beer.

Draft - Grass, lemon and a bit weedy. Hazy gold with a decent white head. Tart grapefrui, lemon and a bit grassy. Hoppy sour is a success.

22oz bomber. The idea of a hoppy beer that is tart or sour in some way sounds antithetical to me. Hops and sour or hops and brett do not compliment each other on my palate. So, the idea of this beer did not seem like a positive experience. However, Breakside has some pretty decent beers, the price tag was only $6, I like the label, and I thought it was worthy of an experiment. The beer pours a thick cloudy straw-golden coor, no clarity through the beer. The first sniff definitely overwhelms with hoppiness and something akin to a sour/wild beer. If novelty plus assertiveness was the only important characteristics of a beer then this would be a hit. As I drink on I get the same in the flavor but I am more skeptical now. The hops and wild character make a somewhat off putting meld of mango incense and bitter white tea. As I drink on I realize that this is basically a brett IPA and I know I do not like brett IPAs. The "sour" character appears to me to be only brett. The brett is overly herbal or at least when juxtaposed against hops its inappropriate potpourri mixed with tropical fruits. Generally I would like the tropical fruit hoppiness and alone I could very much enjoy the herbal rich brett. But in combination its a poor marriage. This beer is in definite need of marriage counseling.
