Kua Bay IPA is a bright, bold, copper-colored India Pale Ale. Piney hops, spices, and a subtle caramel maltiness make it a delicious beer that’s both full-bodied and flavorful.

355ml bottle. Clear, dark brass to amber colour with average, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Mellow malty and fruity, slightly citrusy, minimally floral, hoppy aroma, hints of red berries, a touch of marmalade. Taste is dry, fruity hoppy, slightly citrusy, and dry, minimally spicy malty, hints of rye (?), some marmalade, a touch of brown sugar, floral hoppy overtones. Nice.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours coppery gold with a large foamy near-white head. Aroma of cooked porridge with a touch of hop. Med body, barely. Flavor is arguably citrus/pine hop, but there's a very unpleasant flavor which seems related to malt. 5 months old, but that shouldn't have this drastic an effect. Drinkable, but not really something one should seek out. Or maybe it's just mediocre and craft has spoiled me for the mediocre. 10 years ago I might have been over the moon. Anyway with repeated quaffs, the annoying aspect becomes less annoying.

Bottle from homebrew stuff. Foggy orange light amber big full light tan head rather malty and quite a bit of caramel malts. Smooth resinous and piney hop character. Melody rate lingering bite. Seems a bit hefty. Not bad

355ml bottle from Alko. Mar2119. Poured deep golden color with a thick white head. Marmalade, pine and herbal hops. Malty backbone. Nice pine bitterness. 5 month old and holding up pretty good. Enjoyable.

Bottled 355ml (Alko web, Finnish BB 03/2020) Amber colour, medium-sized off-white head and some lace. Caramel, pine and pine needles in the nose. Medium-bodied. Malty, caramalty, piney hoppy flavour. As jookos said: this is really old school IPA. I would like to have more of these but with less caramel.

Deep copper with a white head. A bit of cardboard over an unpleasant homebrewed beer profile. Bitter in the finish. Not much character here.
