Our interpretation of the French-style aperitif, Pommeau. Distilling 300 of our aged cider with New Columbia Distillers into apple brandy and aging it in fresh Hungarian Oak barrels for 9 months. Then blending the brandy with house made cryo-cider and aged cider into apple brandy barrels to age for an additional 12 months.

375mL clear flip top. It’s been open for about a month. Slowly sipping for a bit. It’s a nice blend that covers up a lot of the harsh distilled elements. A light browned apple with alcohol essence aroma. Flavor isn’t sweet but an almost perfect blend of apple covering the alcohol spirit. A little tartness at the end. Very pale color.

375ml bottle pours a clear orange. Nose has apples, pears, riesling, a little cake icing, light booze. Flavor is boozy, schnapps, cinnamon, apples, pears, light caramel. Full bodied, oily and boozy. A sipper, but rather nice.

From notes taken from a bottle share at the Ratebeer Dec 20 gathering 2015 it is a clear gold color with a slight head. The Aroma is of green apples and the taste is delicious like apple crisp with a smooth creamy finish

Bottle courtesy of Radagast44, thanks! Clear golden yellow color, still. Aroma of vanilla and apple cobbler. Taste is lightly earthy fruit, vanilla, subtle butterscotch. Very tasty. Hopefully it’s rateable!

Bought a 375ml bottle in October and opened it up about a month ago. Poured a still dark golden yellow color with no head. Aroma was boozy apple cider, lots of rich apple brandy notes. Flavor was intense. Very warming - you can feel just about all 18% but it’s not medicinal or like drinking fire.
