A Belgian-style abbey ale crafted like those that Trappist monks brew for their own session beer. It is light bodied, light in color and relatively lower in alcohol with spicy phenolics and complex fruity esters of cherries, nectarines, peaches and bubblegum with a characteristic slightly tart and dry finish from the Belgian yeast.

Can 355ml de Total Wine, Tampa.

Sample at the "Drink Moar Beer!" tasting on 06/12/2015: Clear bronze color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, caramel malt and yeast. Light-bodied with flavors of sweet malt, floral yeast and mild hops. The finish is fruity with an herbal yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Can: Honey-gold with a tight, off-white head. Lemon, yeast aroma......light fruits. Flavour is sweet lemon, yeast, wheat malt...... A touch of salt and pepper. Minor herbal bittering. Light, refreshing....a great little session ale.

Can - pours a lightly hazy straw color - minimal lace - nose is nice and dry, with bread crust maltiness, tropical esters, light flintiness, light tartness, dusty yeast - texture is a bit watery - flavor has some esters of pear and tropical.fruit - kind of a dull yeastiness to it, especially in the finish - moderate bitterness, a bit of spicy phenolics -watery finish that borders on tart and sour, with a bit of background grain husk and the faintest hint of something off I can’t place (butyric acid?) smells nice, but the flavor isn’t as complex and doesn’t come together nearly as well, and really falls apart as it warms.

12 oz can pour. Love the cans comeback. Pours a cloudy yellow with a sweet fruit aroma with some belgian yeast. Mostly fruity beer with some lemon and orange. Just barely has a sour side to it. Pretty good beer.

Can @ home. Thanks to TheAlum for sending me this! Pours a fairly cloudy dull yellow orange appearance with a spidery off white head. The aroma has a really nice, authentic, spicy yeast. Some banana and spices. Spritzy. Grassy. So far so good. The mouth feel is kind of gooey and thick. Fairly sweet. Some twang, cane sugar, and banana in the mouth. Tastes stronger than it is. Some bubblegum and stone fruit as well. Man, this smelled like it was going to be herbal and grassy and great and then the flavor was gummy and too fruity. It’s OK but I wouldn’t want to drink more than one or two of these in a sitting.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, no canning date. Pours lightly hazy gold color with a 2-3 finger foamy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big peach, apricot, lemon, tangerine, banana, bubblegum, clove, cracker, bread, herbal, straw, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of fruity/earthy yeast and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big peach, apricot, tangerine, lemon, banana, bubblegum, clove, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity tartness and earthy yeast spice on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, peach, tangerine, lemon, banana, bubblegum, clove, cracker, bread, herbal, straw, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of fruity/earthy yeast and pale malt sweetness; with a nice malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly slick/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is a very nice session Belgian pale ale. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast and pale malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Can at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of of light grain and light fruits with a bit of light spice underlying. Flavor is full of flora and sweet grains that mellow through the finish.

Can from a six pack I brought back from Illinois. Poured a slightly dark straw color with a medium sized white solid head. Aroma was some notes of grain, straw, lemon. Notes of bready and yeast notes are present too. Flavor was light lemon zest notes, yeast, earthy hop character. Pretty clean and easy to drink - not as refreshing as I’d hope, but light enough and has a pretty clean finish.
