Can: Dates, dried leaves, kibble aroma. Opaque tea colored, thick yellow head, little retention. Maple syrup, cherries, lightly sweet. Full body, soft carbonation. Really nice job, a bock with character that isn’t a cloying malt bomb.

12 ounce can thanks to my friend Marc! Clear reddish brown, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toasted and grainy malt, floral hops. The taste is caramel, toasted malts, mild Noble hops and a hint of dark fruit. Medium bodied, high carbonation. Solid.

12oz can. Poured a medium caramel color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma was lots of sweet malts. Caramel. Tasty enough for the style. I know some people that would really like this one.

I’m going to rate this on my vast experience with dunkler bocks. Better than the worst and not quite as good as the best. Pours red with ok head. Light sweet finish. Some farmy musk. Tinge of good malt backbone at the end here. Can shared at tasting.

Can. Clear dark amber brown color, sort of like a dunkler bock rather than a heller. Aroma of cooked vegetables. Taste is medicinal burnt caramel.
