Inspired by our brewery puppy, Hops, Biere de Guard Dog seems sweet enough will a strong malt presence lead by Munich and Vienna malts. But at 7% ABV, it packs a bite. Just ask our delivery guy!
Malts: Pils, Vienna, Dark Munch
Hops: Nugget, Strisselspalt
Secret Technique: Getting barked at while we are brewing

Can. Not a big fan of this style but this is a really good beer. 7.3 really sneaks up on you.

Bottle from Brewers Haven. Very active on opening, foam slowly and surely rising up and out of the bottle. Pours out slightly cloudy, dark golden, fizzy head. Aroma is sourdough, meadow, cheese, grassy. Complex. A bit of yeast comes through in the taste, light funk, wheat, hont of tartness.

12 ounce bottle, 6/6/16. Hazy orange, very large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of bread, yeast, spice, a mild fruitiness, bits of earth, lime and marzipan. The taste is lime, bread, yeast. Full bodied, high carbonation, mild lingering tartness.

Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy amber color. Soft sweet aroma, mellow, some fruity esters. Good body strength,, sweetish; I hate this yeast, mellow, estery, cloying; and the alcohol gives a boozy feeling; fusels.
Quite nasty.

Bottle - Sweet floral grains. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Lots of sweet malty notes and fruity notes. Much like a Triple or Belgian Strong Blonde.

12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out perfumey notes upfront and some dirty earthy yeast. Flavour is along the same lines, with perfume, earthy farmhouse yeast and odd sweetness. Not very harmonious and quite inauthentic; closer to a sweet tripel, but not exactly. Not very convincing.
