4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey. And another 4 oz pour thanks to Galen while waiting for the foam on the Tiburon Blonde pour to settle. Hazy yellow with off-white head. Aromas of lemon lime, light salt, light funk. Tastes of lemon lime, herbs, light tart acidic notes. Light body with a dry finish. Tasty berliner.

On tap at the Good Hop. Aroma has a nice wheat chaarcrer with some light acidity. Light citrus and faint tropical fruit. Pours a hazy, pale yellow straw with a small, thick white head that slowly recedes to a thin film that then lingers for quite some time. Low lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with some moderate wheat notes and a bit of bread. Medium acidity, definitely not mouth puckering but instead more balanced. Light lemon notes and faint tropical fruit. Mouthfeel is light bodied but not watery with moderate carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.Overall, not the acid bomb that a lot of Berliners are these days but this has some nice acidity and the wheat shines through. Hints of tropical fruit compliment.

Keg at Ballast Point, Little Italy SD, 12/11/14. Hazed pale yellow with a decent white swirl and edgeing. Nose is tangy lemon, earthy, straw, light dank wood notes, citric zest. Taste comprises citric sherbet, lemon zing, damp straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light acidic wash in the close. Ok simple ’Linner.

On tap at the brewpub. A more or less clear one, golden in color, and with a small white head. The aroma has some berries, with cellar and some lemon juice hints. It’s quite dry and tart, medium bodied, with flavors of cellar, lemon, fruits and some grass. Long finish. A refreshing one, but not so very good. 130806
