Bottle 65 cl. Label reads 9,0% ABV. Pours an almost clear amber with a small off-white head. The aroma is almost entirely caramel with some alcohol showing. Hardly any detectable hop aromas. Rich, malty body, again loads of caramel. Clearly there is some bitterness, but it’s more herbal than fresh and citrusy. Reading the description I understand why! Ends bitter and alcoholic. 260713

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a near white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces nicely. Aroma has a nice combo of grapefruit and pine with a grain backbone. Flavor begins with grapefruit that transitions to a bitter pine note with a bit of a light grain backing.

Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Grumpy Troll in Mt. Horeb, WI. Appearance is a cloudy caramel brown thin white head. Aroma unique english hops, light fruit, bit of malt, bit of yeast. Taste is pretty good, light burn, bit of fruit, rich in malt and hop, tastes more like a red. Pretty good.

Draft at the brewpub. Honestly, this one was a let down. Amber-brown color. Good beer in some ways, but tastes closer to a raisiny barleywine than a IIPA. The malt dominates, very sweet, thick, and sticky. Too light on the hops for the style.
