Draft at the brewery. Poured a near black color with a tan head. Aroma was light roasted malts and a touch of chocolate. Flavor had a more serious dark chocolate cake character, bitter chocolate notes. Light sweetness. Tasty.

Decent roast and chocolate, but doesn’t pack a huge presence. Easy to drink, some German cake feel. Black pour with good head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Some caramel. Tap at Public Option.

Sampled at the brewery, pours a hazy deep brown with some creamy tan head. Nose is cool, chocolate covered coffee bean, real obvious cocoa powder, brown sugar, baking brownies. Flavor is chewy grains, dark chocolate, brownies, German chocolate cookies. Dry finish. Not too sweet either. Good job guys, the chocolate is supposed to be the star and it really shines here.

Draft at Meridian Pint. Sheepishly consumed in the company of the 4 Hands brewer who was having an event at the same time. ;-) Opaque brown color, beige head with good retention and lacing. Nice aroma of cocoa nibs, milk chocolate. Taste has chocolate and coffee, not to sweet, not too dry. Very tasty.
