Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear but very dark brown beer, small bubbly dark tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, modest fine carbonation, fine for this style. Smooth dark malts, a little creamy cakey dark chocolate goes well with the soft peaty ripe fruity whiskey barrel. Light touch of candy fruits. Not too heavy on the band aids which is a boon to me. Pretty rich and for me, surprisingly drinkable.

Bottle at home, form HOTM online, 06/12/2025.
Pitch black topped with a khaki cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is dark malts, spice, molasses, light smoke and medicinal tones but well restrained, bunt toffee, charr.
Taste comprises peated malts, spice, molasses, brown sugar melt, charr, dark malts, fruit cake mix, dark chocolate shavings, candied fruit peel.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Solid Islay BA sipper ... well balanced and the smoke/peat overload is kept in check.
