Carve'n Yams is back for 2025 in a super small batch that won't hang around!
This year’s release sees a small bump in ABV and an increased level of sweetness (still vegan, don’t worry). We've reworked the recipe from top to bottom, dialling it in to just where we want it.
Vienna and DRC malts bring delicious toasty raisin notes. We infused the cinnamon and coffee both hot side in the underback and cold side in the tank to extract those flavours at different temperatures and really help layer them in. Two different blends of coffee, roasted by local heroes Anonymous, were selected to add depth of flavour and aroma to this seasonal treat.

440ml can, 2025 edition at 5.4%. Unusual to see a rise in ABV these days.
Pours almost black with a good sized tan head. Aroma of coffee, cinnamon, clove. Taste is dominated by the coffee and spices, cinnamon and clove are obvious but I don't really get the ginger or nutmeg, debatable whether the actual pumpkin can be tasted as well, chocolate and roast malt, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Solid seasonal porter to be fair. Enjoyed it for what it is.
