As the dark winter tapers the light from either end of the day, we crafted a beer to brighten our spirits. Fade to Black is a Double IPA that pours a pale yellow color with a rising head of white foam. Citra and Mosaic hops lend aromas of grapefruit, mango, and candied citrus peel that float above notes of malt and honey. A charge of Lotus hops then adds creamy notes of vanilla and sugary orange that linger within a hoppy bite.

Can (11/28/25) from trade with CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque dark yellow-light brown, tons of sparkle, nice head with excellent retention and soapy lacing. Aroma is strong citrus, mango, orange and hint of vanilla. Taste is strong orange over grapefruit, lesser mango and citrus with cracker. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation, super dry finish as taste with yeast and light bitterness. Aroma bests flavor but good overall.

16 oz can. Aroma shows bread like malt, soft mango. Flavor has the bread malt backbone with mild mango, candied, orange, and shows a mild herb- like bitterness. Alcohol is not really notice. Another pretty well crafted IPA from Treehouse.
