Cask at Cellar, Chester. Pours a dark ruby with a small foamy off-white head and good lacing. The aroma has malts, rye and a hint of cherries. In the mouth it is somewhat bitter with traditional hops, malts, and rye grains. Hints of dark fruits and spices come through later leading to a slightly fruity finish. This is entirely reasonable.

Drinking a red ale in red light doesn't enhance the beer as I tried here. Clear copper coloured, it's has a distinctive red ale flavour and sweetness in a session texture. Light grain available.
