Far from being jade coloured, this beer celebrates the beauty of the German Carafa barley malt that gives it a warm bronze colour without making it heavy or sweet. The clear palate is ideal to enjoy the full spiciness from the versatile New Zealand, Pacific Jade hops.

Handpull cask at the Flying Pig, Cambridge. Brownish amber with a sweet little burnt-sugar head. Looks like it’s in perfect condition. Bubble gum, spruce, forest floor and caramel apple scent. Sweet at first, turning surprisingly bitter. Intense bitter/sour finish. Nicely put together!

Cask @ Akkurat. Pours red brown with a surprisingly big white head. American in its heavy, straight forward hoppiness. English in its high drinkability, low carbonation and perfect smoothness. Notes of reisin, caramel, orange cest and herbs.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 17th April 2013. Russet with thin ring of foam and pattern lace. Hoppy aroma. Rich malt and tangy hoppiness in-mouth, with sharp yet delicate citric touch. Hop kick lasts into satisfying grapefruit finish with grassy notes. Light mouthfeel and medium body. A rewarding pint.
