Oatmeal Stout w/ Chimney Cake Spices
Vánoce jsou časem vůní, chutí a vzpomínek. A právě těm jsme šli naproti při vaření tohoto stoutu. Silný základ s vysokým podílem ovesných vloček zajišťuje hedvábnou plnost, kterou jsme doplnili směsí koření inspirovanou tradičním trdelníkem.
Skořice, vanilka, třtinový cukr i jemný dotek pražených mandlí navozují atmosféru vánočních trhů a procházky zasněženou Prahou. V chuti se sladké tóny elegantně snoubí s jemnou kávovou hořkostí, kterou podtrhuje hřejivý alkohol. Pokud nejste Janek Rubeš, tohle vám bude chutnat!

C: opaque dark brown
N: roasted malt, plums
P: med to full bodied, chocolate, cinnamon, light candied sugar, faint char, plums, touch of raisins, alcohol a little prickly. Ok to try once, but nothing I'd return to.

Canned 500ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him & Hrabren. Black coloured, small pale beige head, cinnamon and caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, candy, caramel and cinnamon with alcohol hidden. A way too sweet finish.

0.5 l can thanks to Marko who brought it from Prague, shared with Ogi and him. Dark brown, small beige head. Aroma is caramel candy with cinnamon. Hints of molasses, dates and dark cherry. Smooth, medium to full body. Quite sweet. Flavour is molasses and cinnamon. Finishes sweet, but with little warmth, alcohol hidden.

Can from Base Camp. Very dark brown body, no head... Ogi's glass had one, Hrabren's and mine didn't... Sweet aroma, syrupy almond and cinnamon in the aroma, some bubblegum. Cinnamon, almond syrup in the taste, lean taste, smooth, okay really, tasty but huh... adjuncts completely overwhelmed the beer.

0.50l can, courtesy of Elvis. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dried fruit, caramel and spices. Pours almost black color with thin creamy light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with moderate sweet roasted malt, caramel and floral honey, following is spiced, dried fruity and herbal, mouthfeel is smooth and warm, while finish is mild bitter. Full body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Hard spices…

Quite sweet, not really trdelnik-like, rather chocolatey, very nice and tasty. Just does not exactly fulfill its promise.
