Une Tmavy Speciální est une version plus forte de la Tmavy classique, une lager foncée donc qui s’apparente à un Porter Baltique, mais en moins liquoreux.
Celle-ci a un nez de tire Ste-Catherine, dit la sommelière de mon cœur, puis des notes de chocolat, de pain pumpernickel et de sous-bois, dans une texture généreuse, somptueuse.

A dark brown colour showing a little haze through the caramel-copper highlights. A big, creamy, warm-beige head that stays quite a while, leaving some creamyish lacing clouds. Roasted malt base in the aromas with a touch of oats, hints of molasses, grass and coffee. The mouthfeel is quite smooth and silky. Roasted barley flavours, a touch milder than the nose, with some nuttiness, mild caramel and a tad grassy hops. Some light building dryness occurs. A decent Black Oat Lager that is smooth, but stronger in alcohol.
