A pale ale that is a delicious refresher with an enduring appeal. Beerspiration: When a man spends his days creating the lasting legacy of gritstone walled fields you just have to name a beer after him. One of our original beers - almost as enduring as Peter's stone walls

Cask at Wickstead Arms, Nantwich. Pours a pale straw with a small white head and good lacing. The aroma has grains amd floral hops with a trace of citrus. In the mouth it is sweet, but with bitterness lurking beneath. Flavours are floral hops and lemon with traces of grapefruit and mango. Finish is slightly sweet, but dry as well. This is decent. More of a pale ale than a bitter though.

Bottle from Nancy Deli’s, Lymm. Cloudy golden with no head. Fruity in both its nose and taste, although there’s vinegar involved in the latter. The bottle was well past its sell-by date though.
