We’re pleased to introduce Keller Jakobus, an unfiltered expression of our classic German Pils, released for the first time in celebration of our 2nd Jakobustag.
Traditionally krausened with a fresh charge of Jakobus, the beer was lagered then packaged for draught (only) and a very limited amount of Holzfass service using our Munich-sourced @fassfabrik_schmid pitch-lined barrels.
The ideal way to experience Keller Jakobus is to join us this Friday at our Biergarten for Jakobustag—a celebration of European-style lagers. We’ll pour a limited amount from our oak casks into your Maß or half-liter mug beginning at 4 p.m. Chef Bryan will serve smoked Duroc pork shanks with bacon fat potatoes—an ideal pairing for Keller Jakobus—which you can enjoy outside by the fire or wherever you wish.
Limited draught quantities of Keller Jakobus will also be available onsite beginning tomorrow, with the Holzfass service starting at 4PM in our Biergarten. We look forward to celebrating Jakobustag with you—Prost!

Pint at Shelter DC. Clear gold, big cap of white head. Nice nose, grain and light flowers, some sweet dough as well. Flavor is bigger on grain, less on flowers. Well balanced. Crisp. Good beer.
