Shoehorn squeezes a lot of flavour into a 6.5% IPA. Built on the new experimental hop HBC 1019, it bursts with Valencia orange, creamy coconut, peaches and melon, while Cascade sharpens things up with grapefruit and tangerine zest. Smooth oats and rye keep the body soft, letting the hops shine bright. Zesty, creamy, tropical — the kind of IPA that keeps disappearing from your glass.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, oats, rye, wheat, spelt, hops, yeast.

Can. Just a light haze on this slightly yellowish gold beer, small and short lived bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, a mild dryness, decent fine minerally carbonation. Slightly thin bodied pale malts, a light creamy sweetness. Dolcita hops (HBC1019) bring light cooling pine and very mild hop spice. Soft coconut, light mildly ripe pineapple, light soft citrus. Mildly crisp finish. Tidy IPA. Dolcita could be punchier here but, it goes down fine and holds the attention.

Can from a local bottle shop. HBC 1019 reminds me of Sabro which is a good thing. Smooth and soft with orange, coconut, pale malt, tropical notes, some mango and stone fruit. Modest bitterness with a light sweetness, medium body. Easy.
