Draft pour at the brewery. Poured a dark brown cola color with a wispy off white head. Aroma was dark chocolate, roasted malts. Roast, pleasant. Nice!

On tap at Black Squirrel in DC. Pours a murky black with some off white head. Solid nose, malty and bready, toast, bread crust, then the hops kick in with pine, soap and dried citrus peel. Flavor is extremely well balanced, chewy malt and roasted grains, toast, bread crust, light dark chocolate, pine, soap, orange. Dry finish. Really easy to drink.

Light roast and light hops. Elements don’t seem to shine enough in this though. Pours black with OK head. Light bitter finish. Some booze and caramel. Tap at spacebar.
