“Sunna” is a very old Germanic word used to describe the sun, which we thought was the perfect way to represent this refreshing summer seasonal. For this brew we decided to pay homage to the traditional German style wheat beers of old while still adding an American twist. It is hopped with Azacca and Citra for a citrus fruit forward aroma and flavor profile that is complimented by the use of 50% Pale Wheat. The result is a wonderfully balanced hoppy wheat ale that serves as the perfect companion to all that the summer has to offer! *UNFILTERED*

Tap. Pours hazy yellow, large white head, great lacing. Aroma is wheat, field grass, Saison yeast, lemon. Flavor is light sweet, light tartness, mega Saison yeast, citrus. Medium body. Odd.

Draft at Meridian Pint. Since the only time I visited Victoria’s Gastropub was before they were brewing, I’m happy to try this so close to home. Cloudy yellow color, white head, solid lacing. Mellow citrus aroma. Taste has earthy lemon, subtle pineapple, raw bread dough. I need to go back.
