Whether you have a long mission behind you or a full afternoon ahead, this session IPA will help keep things real. More relaxed than an IPA, but with all the hop aroma and flavor. Down to Earth is our Tribute to unsung heroes and unplanned adventures.

Down to Earth is the natural evolution (pun intended) of Bitter American, our original session ale. We thought it would be fitting to bring our space chimp home and let him chill. Down to Earth is available year-round in six-pack cans and on draft and pairs nicely with a variety of things, including lunch.

Can at bottle shop. It pours hazy orange-amber with a small white head. The nose is fresh, piney, varnish, grassy, orange rind and sherbet. The taste is crisp, bitter, piney varnish, peppery, orange peel, grapefruit rind, soapy and light floral with a dry finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Crisp and crushable. Very nice

10oz Can Slightly hazy orange. Persistan off white head. Nice aroma of tangerine and other light citrus. These session IPAs often have that watery taste/feel but this one has enough fresh hop flavor that you can get by that. Quite tasty actually for a 4/4% beer. Not bad

Fresh six pack of cans drunk 8/9 and 8/10/15.
Foamy white head slowly recedes to cover atop a glowing, orange marmalade-like body that is highly clear and carbonated.
Peach, tangerine, nectarine, light mango and some light touches of creamy-honey laden malts as well as white bread dough. Peppery, as well, with leafy dryness and a bit of dry orange rind on the finish. Some fruitiness lingers on the end (apples, cherries, sweet orange notes) and there is no alcohol or flaw noted.
Again, very big fruity hop notes show cherry, mango, lime, pineapple and are backed by a maltiness that is lightly sweet and adds a touch of light caramel and iced tea-like flavors. A bit excessive on the peach and melon character, with the malts exacerbating that. Ebulliently fruity though I see what they’re trying to do. But all this fullness of flavor makes it just a little sappy/punchy.

Can shared at a tasting at Max’s place. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Slightly hazy deep golden with a white head. Aroma of kinda stale citric hops. Dry flavor of bitterish citric hops, slightly stale. Quite light-bodied.

Can, "Best By 7/19/15." Single from Famous Liquors. "Aw, gee, Mom! Another Session IPA?" "Now don’t hurt his feelings, Jimmy! ALL beers are special. Even the bandwagon jumpers." That’s my initial thought, before popping the can. Here’s a more informed thought: Pours a slightly hazy, yellow lager beer under a sudsy head. Strong pineapple nose from the big head of foam; not bad at all. I get more pine resin notes once it settles a bot and I can stick my nose in the glass. There’s a nice, stiff malt backbone here, ready to just let the hop palate float on through. Still more pine and resin, and a bit more undefined fruitiness that tends toward citrus, but is actually a bit more mouth-watering.

I thought I tastes this years ago. On tap at bowsers. Clear pale yellow. Smells like BO so it must be some kind a IPA, or I need a shower. Decent co2. The palate is a little thineer than expected, 2 good things about this trying to be an ipa, heheh. Yes, a medium light ipa that probably should be styled as an APA. Medium astringent bitter finish. Not bad overall considering what its try to be.

12 oz can into a tulip. Best by 07/19/2015 so very near the end of freshness. A: Dark, dirty gold with a strong inch tall head of pillowy texture. Very good retention and lacing. Small amount of visible carbonation. Looks good. S:Sweet orange aroma and maybe a touch of caramel malt. Very little pine, but could be a touch of spruce which I do like. Smells good too. T: Much more pine than in the nose. A bitter orange flavor does come through. The caramel seems to be lost. Good tasting but perhaps not exceptional. I’ll venture to say above average for the style though. M: Light but not quite watery with a noticeable resin/oilyness. Average carbonation is enough to make it interesting. O: One of the better SIPAs I’ve had and I’ve now had quite a few. Well priced and available means worth buying if you like the style.

Can from The Bottle Shop London. Clear amber lasting cream head. Over carbonated. A touch of satsuma fruit. Fresh hoppy, rather entertaining and extremely drinkable. Fresh light fruit. Some bitterness on the finish. Yes loved the satsuma tangerine.
