Draft at the Lewes brewcafe. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty, light hazelnut. The flavour is moderate to light sweet, light liquorice bitter, with a somewhat light, smooth, light chocolate, yeasty liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Didn’t taste so good if I’m honest. Rather yeasty, bordering on funky sourness. Certainly no major creamy sweetness. Maybe I had the first drink from the tap.

Half pint from the keg at Lewes Brewcafe. Pours black with a beige head. Aromas & tastes of milk chocolate, hazelnut, hints of coffee & burnt malt. Moderate body. Smooth finish.
