Glaciers are mighty and powerful and that’s what this beer delivers. Brewed from Southern Alps glacial melt water Glacier is a 6.5% double dry hopped NZ India Pale Ale. Leaning towards a contemporary interpretation of a US Westcoast IPA style the Motueka and Nectaron hops combine to make juicy citrusy and tropical pineapple flavours.

White rim for seconds only; clear metallic golden beer. Nice, bit catty if fresh hops, exotic fruit, pineapple, peppery. Bitter and sweet exotic fruit. Somewhat metallic bitterness, bit of resin and again a tad catty retronasal. Light to medium bodied, not very carbonated. Harsher finish. Nice introduction with the first South Island IPA.
