Bottle split at RB Best Encomium share, Santa Rosa, 30/01/16 - Many Thanks ! Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is bitter fruit rinds, wood must, vinous notes, herb, charr, soured prunes, funk. Taste comprises on the turn plums, dried fruits, barnyard notes, damp wood, tangy dark fruits, light spice, raisins, red berry pips. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light acidic mist. Ok sour.

Bottle shared at Ratebeer awards show. 30/01/2016. Huge Thanks! A black mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of loose tan head. Aroma is raspberry sour, tart fruit, black forest gateau, black malts. Flavour is composed of nutty malts, tangy black malts, cherry and raspberry tart fruits. Palate is semi sweet and sour, highish carboantion, Little woody in the finish.

Bottle at the Rate Beer Awards Festival Bottle Share. First Pizza Boy. Tart licorice, chocolate, berry in the nose. Black with lace. Sour, burnt flavor, dark chocolate. Doesn’t quite work, this mixture/clash of flavors.

Bottle at RBWG. It pours black with a light brown head. The aroma has some red wine acidity and hints of roast. The flavor is full with red wine, roasted malt and some tobacco in the finish. Surprisingly easy to drink and not harsh at all. Good stuff!

750ml bottle pours out brown topped with a tan head. nose is barrel funk sour berries and a nice barrel. Taste is more of the sour tart pucker and light roast.

Bottle shared at the WWWW Mid Atlantic Summer Beer Tasting. Near black with a frothy tan head. Aroma of tart cherries, blackberries, mild chocolate. The taste is tart cherries, cherry pie filling, mild chocolate. Medium bodied, lingering tartness.

Bottle at the RateBeer WWWW Tasting. Dark brownish black. Aromas of cherry, berries, red wine. Tastes of cherries, berries, vinegar, tart fruit, light licorice. Medium-light body with a dry finish.
