Bottle from Peace Tree, $3 each in July. Poured in a Nonik pint glass. Big head offering up some toasty malt nose. Cloudy brown; I had forgotten about the yeast the label warned about, but I had let it sit for an hour before opening. Taste finally admits to a bit of light brown ale. I initially had a taste of sourness and thought oh, no, it’s contaminated. But that went away. Gotta account for the onions I had with my Subway for dinner. But I can’t bring myself to say this is any more than average. Some hop bitterness, but I can’t figure much more than that. I did let this sit for three months. I have a second bottle I’ll try out and see if that fares any better.

12oz grenade bottle. Deep glowing red-brown, with a soapy off-white head. Rich, malt centered Red. Medium bodied, quite sessionable. Soapy, resinous hops gently balance it out. Lots of smooth caramel and toffee tones. Really nails the style.

Bottle thanks to blutt59. Pours with a hazed amber body and a tan head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, light alcohol esters. Taste is watery, leaves, fruit. Lively bubbles. Dry mouthfeel.
