Bright, crisp, and refreshing, Cold Current is our new quarterly West Coast Pale Ale, here to carry us through the end of the year. It greets the senses with aromas of pine, lemon rind, and a touch of woodiness. On the palate, vibrant notes of grapefruit and lemongrass flow into hints of pine, finishing clean and smooth. Brewed with Cascade, Citra Cryo, and Simcoe Abstrax hops, Cold Current delivers a light-bodied, crisp mouthfeel with a refreshing bite of citrus and pine.

Hazy, extra pale. Clean. Light fruitiness, slight grapefruit. This is good stuff.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours clear bright gold with a decent white head. Aroma is nice pine - but not harsh. Med body. Flavor is sort of pine and light garlic. Lots of pine, tho not harsh. Definitely something related to garlic. Could be green onion. Also could be some grass. Malt is barely discernible for me. Really good flavor.

On tap at Pure Project - Miramar, pours a lightly hazed blonde with a small white head. Aroma has light allium, gentle pine, and dry biscuity malt. Flavour has bright piney hops, gentle oils, light allium, and light grassiness. Flavour is oily, with plenty of piney hops, grassy notes, oiliness, and a crisp biscuity malt. Good hop blend, good balance. Very nice.
