WWWWAAAAAZZZZZZAAAAAAAPPPPPPP

A few months ago, we were all up in our DMs with our buds @ceremonybrewing and @angrychairbrewing and we were chatting about wanting to make a collab FOR US, not driven by sales or marketing or trends. We wanted to riff on something easy and crushable, but with a fun twist of some sort. As luck would have it, we were recently catching up with our local buds @chopshopbutchery, who had also just been chatting with us about wanting to get some Smoked Lager in their lives. So we went to the drawing board and came up with a Pale Lager rested on fresh-smoked Hops.

“Bud Life” is a Pale Smoked Lager, and it’s what happens when worlds collide! Mashed with a loving blend of 100% Riverbend Malt (Cumberland Pilsner, Malted Oats, Malted Corn, & Chit Malt), hopped extensively with Willamette throughout the Boil and Whirlpool, fermented with our House Lager Yeast and spunded for dat natty carbonation before being laid down to rest for a few months in our Horizontal Lager Tanks. It was then conditioned on fresh-smoked Whole Cone Willamette Hops thanks to the wizards at Chop Shop! So this is like…A Smoked-Dry-Hopped-Whole-Cone Lager? Is that a thing? IT IS NOW, BROTHERRRRR!

Now just ask yourself here, “What Would Stone Cold Steve Austin Do?” and then bash a few cans together above your head to be showered in a waterfall of excellence. It’s a Pale Smoked Lager. It rules. Grab some buds and enjoy some brewskis. Gather your pals and slam a few pints. Phone your friends and ask them WWWWAAAAAZZZZZZAAAAAAAPPPPPPP.

Single from Appalachian. Pint glass at home during Friday night beer chats. Didn't know till after, that this was a smoked hop, not malt.

Clear, thin, pale gold, good soapy head, slow to recede.
Slightly sharp & thin. Strongly smoked beechwood nose; sweet oats.
Beechwood, green veg smoke, more smoke than anticipated, slight plastic, herbal, dusty. Black pepper & subtle sweetness on the tail.

Okay.
