The aroma is rich, dark roasted malt, decadent, syrupy, dark chocolate, chocolate fudge cake, chocolate bourbons, toasted coconut and millionaires chocolate biscuit. The taste is smooth, slick, thick, dark roasted malt, bitter - sweet character upfront, charred, then it sweetness ups, oily, tangy, slightly savoury, salted caramel, liquorice, chocolate cake, some toasted coconut, slap of booze, burnt toast and some treacle with a slick, warming sweet finish. Full.body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel..as Colin said this isn't a full on modern dessert stout, it has a nice bitter roasted backbone. Fun sipper.
