We had our pal Basil over from Finback in Brooklyn and made this clean Pilsner inspired by their Foeder Pilsner. We selected toasted cedar and charred oak on the brew day to infuse while lagering.

On tap at Beer Shop Folkestone. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. Lager yeast aroma. Some light woody flavour. Like a spiced flavour. Its pretty good. I liked it. A bit fizzy in the flavour. Some bitterness on the finish. Some spice. OK.

Can from Appellation Wines.
Appearance - golden yellow, pretty clear and a fluffy white head.
Nose - dank grain bag and sweetcorn.
Taste - tangy orange and lemon peel and wood tannins.
Palate - close to medium bodied, tangy, tannic and long on the finish.
Overall - a very interesting beer, this. A bit challenging, but rewarding too.
