The inaugural release is a blend of 58 percent aged 17 months and 21 days in puncheons and 42 percent aged in Penelope red wine-finished bourbon for 11 months 16 days and 6 months and 5 days in the puncheons. The flavor is already great with the taste of an old ale. Think somewhere between Wisdom and Bombs Over Barley. Then the barrel brings in some oak, vanilla, red wine, sherry, tannin, plum, and raisins. This is really unique and really good already.

Bottle pour with membership group--minus ClarkVV--miss you buddy! Clear dark brown/mahogany with light viscosity, no head or lacing. Aroma is caramel, mild red wine, strong oak, smokey. Taste is caramel, red wine, oak, light smoke. Smooth, fairly thin texture, finish as taste.

500 ml bottle. 2024 vintage. Bottle # 1150 / 1200. Clear brown liquid. Aroma is ale yeast, toffee, raisins. Flavor is musty, malty, soft hints of fortified red wine. Mild oak character. Pretty well balanced.
